EasyPro at the U9 Group Conference
23rd June 2026
On 18th June, EasyPro presented at the U9 Group conference in Ireland. Daniel Ring from Lawler Sustainability gave a presentation entitled ‘EasyPro: EPC facilitation service for Irish universities’. The U9 Group comprises Energy and Carbon Managers from the nine main Irish universities, who gathered at this conference to discuss decarbonisation and energy-saving solutions. The group is supported by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Members from our pilot universities (Dublin City University) and stakeholder group (Powertherm Solutions) were alsp in attendance.
EasyPro’s presentation was titled ‘EasyPro: EPC facilitation service for Irish universities’. The presentation highlighted the recent letter of support for EPC from Darragh O’Brien, the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, as well outlined the benefits of EPC for Irish universities, including the energy and cost savings, fast delivery, and flexibility and scalability for evolving campus needs. EasyPro’s EPC facilitation service and what it offers Irish universities were also explained, specifically the expert support that the project provides throughout the EPC journey. EasyPro supports Irish universities with all aspects of the EPC process free of charge, ranging from suitability and readiness assessment to market engagement and validation, all of which will help Irish universities reach their 2030 Climate Action Targets.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to share insights on the EasyPro solution and engage with peers on common decarbonisation challenges. The feedback received will help shape the next phase of EasyPro’s work and we look forward to continuing collaboration with the U9 group as we collectively drive progress towards Ireland’s 2030 climate goals.
