LIFE RE-ACT Synergy

In March 2025, EasyPro joined the LIFE RE-ACT Synergy (Regional and Local Action for clean energy transition). This cluster is led by the ENTRACK Project and was established to accelerate the clean energy transition across Europe. Through common efforts and expertise, this collaboration aims to implement inclusive and sustainable energy solutions.

The LIFE RE-ACT Synergy addresses challenges in energy planning, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building while promoting innovative solutions in renewable energy, energy poverty alleviation and spatial planning. It also focuses on practical tools, targeted training and collaborative dissemination of project results to ensure the successful adoption of clean energy practices in diverse local and regional contexts.

The initiative includes additional working groups focusing on various critical sustainability aspects:

  • Community of Practice: Builds a network of practitioners to exchange best practices and promote continuous learning.
  • Co-design & Training: Explores collaborative opportunities in developing training programs and design methodologies.
  • Stakeholders’ Mapping and Engagement: Focuses on identifying and engaging key stakeholders.
  • Communication & Dissemination: Aims to ensure effective communication of project results and insights, with proactive dissemination efforts that include working groups exploring various sustainability aspects.

Projects in LIFE RE-ACT Synergy

ENTRACK

ENTRACK is an EU-funded project that accelerates climate neutrality in eight Mediterranean municipalities by enhancing local energy policy capacities. Supporting the European Green Deal, the project focuses on reducing fossil fuel reliance and equipping local authorities to develop and implement social energy policies that meet the specific needs of vulnerable communities. Key objectives include improving policymaker capacity, aligning governance, and advancing sustainable energy goals.

Local GoGreen

LOCAL GoGREEN supports local authorities by enhancing their ability to develop, implement and track ambitious short- and medium-term strategies aimed at accelerating the Clean Energy Transition and meeting the 2030 targets. The project will foster a transnational knowledge-sharing ecosystem that promotes the development of sustainable energy communities through capacity building, participatory decision-making and collaborative initiatives for the creation and execution of integrated climate and energy plans.

Own Your Secap

Own Your SECAP helps 11 European small and medium municipalities across 11 countries develop Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs). By focusing on capacity-building, peer-to-peer support and the adoption of energy management systems (ISO 50001) and climate adaptation standards (ISO 14092), it empowers local governments to set ambitious climate-neutral goals for 2050, implement mitigation, adaptation and energy poverty measures, and integrate climate priorities into municipal budgets.

At Last

AT LAST is an EU-funded project that supports European cities in realizing their climate ambitions. The project aims to help smaller cities in Europe put into action Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP). The project focuses on bringing different sectors together and assisting local governments in planning, financing, and carrying out their strategies to establish climate-neutral and resilient cities.

Plan4CET

The main objective of the PLAN4CET project is to support European regions and cities in the design, development and implementation of Clean Energy Transition (CET) plans adapted to their needs and possibilities.

Ruralities

RURALITIES is a Horizon Europe project that empowers rural communities to address climate and development challenges through innovation and learning. It establishes training hubs and living labs in six European pilot regions, combining citizen science, digital tool and participatory methods to share knowledge and build local expertise. By promoting collaboration and practical skills, RURALITIES helps rural stakeholders adopt climate-smart solutions, strengthen ecosystems and drive sustainable growth.

In-Plan

ENTRACK is an EU-funded project that accelerates climate neutrality in eight Mediterranean municipalities by enhancing local energy policy capacities. Supporting the European Green Deal, the project focuses on reducing fossil fuel reliance and equipping local IN-PLAN is an EU-LIFE project helping local and regional authorities integrate energy, climate, and spatial planning. Through a train-the-trainers programme and pilot regions, it develops practical methods and guidelines so municipalities can align budgets, land use, and infrastructure planning to achieve long-term climate and energy goals.

Prospect

The general objective of PROSPECT CUBE is to offer a tested and robust capacity building programme (CBP) based on peer-to-peer (P2P) exchanges to equip LRAs with the right competences to implement their sustainable energy actions. Instead of relying solely on public funding, this involves leveraging the use of private capital by using innovative financing schemes and enabling structures (such as one-stop-shops, energy agencies, energy communities).

NECPlatform

NECPlatform helps six Member States (Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, Portugal, Romania) establish Climate and Energy Dialogue (CED) platforms under Article 11 of the EU Governance Regulation, to ensure that national energy and climate policies (NECPs) are created, updated, and implemented with real involvement from local/regional authorities and different stakeholders.

Renoverty

RENOVERTY will drive energy-efficient building upgrades for energy-poor households in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe by creating practical, financially viable renovation roadmaps for rural districts. The project provides tools for local and regional actors, develops a scalable EU-wide model, and addresses social needs such as safety, comfort and accessibility. Seven pilot sites across Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Portugal and Spain will test and expand the approach over three years.

Recet

RECET (Rural Europe for the Clean Energy Transition) is a European-Union–funded initiative that aims to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels by empowering rural regions and municipalities across five European areas. Rural communities often lack the administrative capacity and resources to plan and implement such transitions. Through RECET, local administrations gain support, training and cooperation tools so they can design and carry out realistic clean energy transition plans. In addition, the project promotes collaboration among municipalities, stakeholders and sectors and shares best practices for community engagement.

Iconic

ICONIC is a forward-looking project designed to enhance energy independence, climate neutrality, and sustainable development in rural and island communities across Europe. The ICONIC project addresses the socioeconomic and environmental challenges of these territories through the implementation of technological innovations, such as renewable energy systems, smart water management (solar desalination and efficient irrigation), autonomous biogas solutions and sustainable mobility, as well as social innovations, such as Climate Municipal Working Groups led by local authorities to coordinate actions and strategic decisions, and Multi-Actor Climate Assemblies, where citizens, businesses, and local organisations collaborate on defining sustainable solutions and creating energy. These innovations are being validated through pilot experiences in Inis Mór (Ireland), La Graciosa (Spain), and Berchidda (Italy), in close collaboration with local authorities and community stakeholders.
