EasyPro Newsletter: Issue 7

Welcome to the seventh edition of the EasyPro quarterly newsletter!

It’s been a busy Winter for EasyPro, an EU project that will make Irish universities carbon neutral through an Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) facilitation service. In this newsletter, we will recap all the key activities that have taken place since January 2026, including EasyPro’s Third General Assembly Meeting, EasyPro’s mention in CINEA’s news blog, our presentation in Berlin, and much more.

EasyPro’s Third General Assembly Meeting

On 4th February, the EasyPro consortium met at the Tyndall Institute in Cork, Ireland, for the third General Assembly meeting. At the meeting, the EasyPro partners shared updates on their respective work packages at 18 months into the project. They also planned the next steps in making Irish universities carbon neutral via the project’s Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) facilitation service. This included: the project’s mini competitions for ESCOs that will use a Competitive Dialogue procurement procedure; and plans to extend the EasyPro facilitation service to other higher education organisations including Educational and Training Boards, as well as the wider public sector, including local authorities and government department buildings.

What we’re reading: EasyPro’s mention in CINEA’s news blog

On 13th January, EasyPro was one of three projects mentioned in CINEA’s news blog about the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) Energy Fair. The EUSEW Energy Fair is the biggest event dedicated to energy efficiency and renewables in Europe, with over 2000 visitors and over 35 stands made up of multiple projects. This highlight is international recognition that EasyPro contributes to a clean, secure and competitive Energy Union and that our consortium sparks dialogue about solutions that can be scaled, replicated and adapted across Europe. EasyPro’s popularity at the fair also speaks to the project’s goal, its clear messaging and eye-catching dissemination material.
