EasyPro at the Decarbonising Dublin Summit

21st October 2025

On 21st October, EasyPro was represented at the Decarbonising Dublin Summit, an annual event that unites communities and stakeholders to explore challenges and opportunities for Dublin to meet its climate and energy targets.

The event was organised by EasyPro project partner Codema – Dublin’s Energy Agency, whose role in the EasyPro project is to establish a framework of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) for the delivery of Energy Performance Contracts (EPC).

Leading experts delivered sessions on topics ranging from district heating and Ireland’s 2030 climate targets to fair solutions for a low-carbon future. Darragh O’Brien, Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, provided the ministerial message during the Summit introduction, while members of the Climate Change Advisory Council and the Irish District Energy Association contributed to panel discussions.

With public sector bodies, academics and energy industry leaders in attendance, the summit provided a platform to share best-practice methods to reduce emissions in Dublin and encourage replication across all sectors, aligning with EasyPro’s goal to demonstrate that a standardised EPC process can be successfully implemented and to rollout this facilitation service from Irish universities to the rest of the Irish public sector.
